Best Bagels and Sandwiches in Tamarindo

One of the top breakfast joints in Tamarindo is called “La Princesa Tamarindo”, located at the food court right in the heart of Tamarindo, opened since 2013, La Princesa offers flavorsome homemade bagels, sandwiches, and salads for both breakfast and lunch, besides they have dreaming homemade baked sweets and of course prime Costa Rican coffee.

The typical breakfast in Costa Rica is Gallo Pinto, which is basically mixed rice and beans, and even though it is delightful, you might want to try something different. At la Princesa you will have food that is always fresh, healthy and quick, they even have lactose free, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options.

This Scandinavian style cafe is owned by Janet, a beautiful Swedish lady who evidently puts all her heart on providing exceptional bagels, sandwiches, and desserts in town. She personally bakes all the sweets and multiple varieties of breads, giving it that extra homemade touch that makes La Princesa so unique.

The best thing you can do is to grab your bagel or sandwich and walk right to the beach so you can have a picnic while enjoying the beautiful Tamarindo beach. My favorite to go is their breakfast sandwich with whole grain bread and a cup of strong coffee with coconut milk, delish!
